Welcome to Find Love Safely. These Terms & Conditions explain how our programs work, what participants can expect, and how we support safe, respectful connection for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

By enrolling in Find Love Safely, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Find Love Safely

Find Love Safely is a relationship-focused service that provides personalized matchmaking, education, coaching, and community experiences for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (“members”).

Find Love Safely is not a dating app, therapy provider, medical service, or crisis intervention program. Our services are supportive, educational, and relationship-centered.

2. Who Is Agreeing to These Terms

These Terms may be acknowledged by:

The member themselves
A caregiver, parent, legal guardian, or authorized support person
Both, when appropriate

By enrolling, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of the member, if applicable.

3. Legal Capacity & Representation

Members may participate in Find Love Safely with varying levels of caregiver or support involvement. A caregiver, parent, or appointed agent may acknowledge these Terms on behalf of a member when appropriate and represents that they have the authority to do so. Find Love Safely relies on the accuracy of these representations when providing services.

4. Support Involvement & Participation

Find Love Safely offers a unified enrollment structure for all members. Rather than separate “Independent” and “Supported” participation models, support involvement is customized based on each member’s preferences and needs.

Support involvement may include:

Active participation by a caregiver or support person
Shared communication between a member and caregiver/support person
Member-led communication with caregiver awareness

Support involvement preferences are discussed during enrollment and the intake call, and they may change over time with communication to Find Love Safely. A caregiver’s involvement does not replace a member’s responsibility to communicate respectfully, honor boundaries, and adhere to all safety expectations outlined in these Terms & Conditions.

Find Love Safely may consider support involvement when communicating with members or caregivers and making introductions, but differences in involvement do not automatically exclude a potential match. Compatibility and consent remain central in all introductions.

5. Program Participation & Expectations

All Find Love Safely programs include personalized matchmaking. Additional services (such as workshops or coaching) depend on the program selected.

Important expectations:

Matches and timelines are not guaranteed
Introductions are made thoughtfully and at an appropriate pace
Quiet periods do not mean inactivity
Participation requires respectful behavior toward others

Find Love Safely reserves the right to pause, modify, or end participation if safety or conduct concerns arise.

6. Matchmaking Scope

Matchmaking involves:

Learning about members’ interests, goals, and readiness
Making thoughtful introductions when appropriate
Supporting early communication when needed

Find Love Safely does not monitor private relationships or communications outside the scope of our services.

7. Coaching & Workshops

Coaching

Coaching is supportive and educational. It may include:

Communication and relationship skills
Confidence-building
Boundaries and consent
Processing dating experiences

Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or crisis intervention.

Workshops

Workshop access is included with the Essentials and Concierge programs. Members in newly launched cities may receive complimentary workshop access for a limited time.

Live virtual workshops are educational and skill-building. Participation is encouraged but never required.

8. Coaching Scheduling, No-Shows & Cancellations

Coaching sessions reserve dedicated coach time.

Sessions canceled 24 hours or more in advance may be rescheduled
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are considered completed sessions
Completed sessions are not refunded or rescheduled

If patterns of missed sessions occur, Find Love Safely may reach out to adjust scheduling or support needs.

9. Safety & Boundaries

Find Love Safely prioritizes safety through education, thoughtful pacing, clear communication, and respect for autonomy.

Respectful & Non-Violent Conduct

Find Love Safely is committed to providing a safe, respectful environment for all members, caregivers, staff, and community participants.

Violent behavior, threats of violence, or physical intimidation are not permitted in any Find Love Safely program, event, coaching session, or interaction.
This includes behavior directed toward other members, staff, coaches, caregivers, or the public.
If safety concerns arise, Find Love Safely may pause or end participation and take appropriate steps to protect all involved.

This expectation applies to all participation models and is not negotiable.

10. Disclosure of Safety Concerns

Members and caregivers agree to promptly notify Find Love Safely if any information changes that may impact safe participation, including concerns or allegations related to:

Violent behavior
Abuse (physical, emotional, or sexual)
Serious safety risks

Failure to disclose relevant safety concerns may result in paused or terminated participation.

11. Background Screening

Find Love Safely conducts searches of publicly available sex offender registries, including the National Sex Offender Public Website (https://www.nsopw.gov/), at or around enrollment and periodically thereafter.

Members and caregivers acknowledge that:

Such searches are limited in scope
They do not guarantee safety or predict behavior
Find Love Safely does not control or monitor private conduct

Members and caregivers are encouraged to conduct their own background checks when appropriate.

12. Confidentiality

Find Love Safely agrees to keep personal information shared by members and caregivers confidential, subject to safety, legal, and operational needs.

Members and caregivers agree:

Not to share personal information about matches without consent
Not to share Find Love Safely’s internal processes, materials, or documentation
To respect the privacy of all participants

Confidentiality expectations continue after participation ends.

13. Photography & Media Use

Participation in photography or recordings at Find Love Safely events is always optional.

Intake or profile photos are never used for marketing without express permission
Members or caregivers may opt out of photography at any time by notifying Find Love Safely

14. Events & Community Activities

Local events are offered when available.

Members are expected to:

Follow event guidelines
Participate respectfully
Support a safe and inclusive environment

Find Love Safely may remove a participant from an event if safety concerns arise.

15. Billing, Payments & Renewals

Auto-Renewal

All Find Love Safely memberships are auto-renewing. By enrolling, you authorize recurring billing unless you request cancellation prior to renewal.

Exceptions to auto-renewal may be granted by request and must be confirmed in writing.

Coaching Add-Ons

Add-on coaching sessions are billed per session and subject to the cancellation policy above.

16. Refunds & Cancellations

Find Love Safely provides ongoing, relationship-based services. For this reason, all membership fees and service fees are non-refundable once a membership term or service period has begun.

Cancellations

All memberships are auto-renewing unless canceled in advance.
You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting Find Love Safely in writing.
If you cancel, your membership will remain active through the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds or credits for:
- Unused membership time
- Missed sessions
- Changes in participation
- Early cancellation
This policy applies to annual memberships, monthly memberships, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

Coaching Sessions & Workshops

Coaching sessions and workshops must be canceled in accordance with our scheduling and attendance policies.
Missed sessions or late cancellations are not refundable and may be counted as used sessions.

Special Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations may arise. While fees are non-refundable, we encourage members or caregivers to contact us if circumstances change so we can discuss next steps thoughtfully and respectfully.

17. Indemnification

Members and caregivers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Find Love Safely, its directors, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims arising out of participation in the program or interactions with individuals introduced through the service, to the extent permitted by law.

18. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or related to participation in Find Love Safely shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Dakota County, Minnesota, unless otherwise required by law.

This provision survives termination of participation.

19. Changes to Programs or Terms

Find Love Safely may update programs, pricing, or these Terms & Conditions as the organization evolves. Updated terms will be posted on our website.

Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
