Welcome to Find Love Safely. By enrolling in our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Overview
Find Love Safely provides matchmaking and relationship support services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as virtual workshops and coaching designed to support safe, meaningful connections.
Participation in Find Love Safely constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age. By enrolling, members and/or their legal guardians or caregivers represent that the participant has the capacity to engage in services or that appropriate support is in place.
3. Membership Options
Find Love Safely offers multiple membership options designed to support connection, relationship development, and safety:
- Core Membership – Includes matchmaking services and access to in-person events when available
- Essentials Membership – Includes matchmaking services, access to in-person events when available, and participation in virtual workshops
- Concierge Membership – Includes all Essentials features plus one (1) 1:1 coaching session per month
- Virtual Workshops Membership – A standalone membership that provides access to live virtual workshops only and does not include matchmaking services
Membership features and availability may vary by location. Find Love Safely does not guarantee matches, introductions, or relationship outcomes.
4. Virtual Workshops
Virtual workshops are conducted live via Zoom and are offered as part of select memberships or as a standalone subscription.
- Workshops are held approximately twice per month
- Registration is required prior to each session
- Access is limited to active members only and may not be shared
- Workshops are designed to provide education and support related to relationships, communication, and safety
Find Love Safely reserves the right to modify workshop scheduling, format, or content at any time.
5. Coaching Services
Coaching sessions are available to eligible members as part of certain membership tiers or as an add-on service.
- Individual coaching sessions are approximately 60 minutes
- Coaching is intended to support relationship skills, communication, and personal development
- Coaching sessions are non-transferable and must be used within the active membership period unless otherwise specified
6. Caregiver Involvement
In some cases, caregivers or authorized representatives may participate in communication, coordination, or support. Find Love Safely may rely on information provided by caregivers but is not responsible for verifying its accuracy.
The level of caregiver involvement may vary based on member preferences and needs.
7. Payments and Renewal
All memberships are billed in advance and automatically renew unless canceled.
- Monthly memberships may require a minimum commitment period as outlined at the time of purchase
- Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle
- Members are responsible for canceling prior to renewal if they do not wish to continue
- Fees are non-refundable, except at the sole discretion of Find Love Safely. In cases of membership termination, any refund determination will be made at Find Love Safely’s discretion
8. Member Conduct and Community Standards
Find Love Safely is a safety-first, supportive community. By participating in our services, members agree to engage with others in a respectful, appropriate, and consent-based manner at all times.
Members agree to:
- Respect personal boundaries, communication preferences, and levels of comfort of others
- Engage in interactions that are appropriate to the stage and context of the relationship
- Communicate honestly and respectfully, without pressure, coercion, or manipulation
- Conduct themselves in a way that contributes to a safe and positive experience for all participants
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Any form of harassment, intimidation, or unwanted advances
- Pressuring or attempting to coerce another member into physical, romantic, or sexual activity
- Use of explicit, vulgar, or inappropriate language or behavior that causes discomfort to others
- Repeated contact after a member has expressed disinterest or a desire to disengage
- Any conduct that Find Love Safely determines to be unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with the values of the community
Find Love Safely reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate membership at any time if a member’s behavior is reported to be or is determined to be inconsistent with these standards. This may occur with or without prior notice and without obligation to provide detailed explanation.
Participation in Find Love Safely is a privilege, and maintaining a safe environment for all members is our highest priority.
9. Safety and Screening
Find Love Safely is committed to promoting a safe environment. While we may conduct limited screening measures, including checks against publicly available registries, we do not conduct comprehensive background checks on members.
Members and caregivers are encouraged to use their own judgment and take appropriate precautions when engaging with others.
Find Love Safely may take action based on reported member experiences, including interactions that occur outside of formally facilitated activities.
10. Right to Refuse or Terminate Membership
Find Love Safely reserves the right to refuse service, suspend, or terminate membership at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to behavior that is inconsistent with community standards or that may impact the safety or experience of other members.
Such actions may be taken with or without prior notice.
11. Limitation of Liability
Find Love Safely provides matchmaking, educational, and coaching services but does not guarantee compatibility, relationship outcomes, or member behavior.
By participating, members and caregivers acknowledge that interactions between individuals are voluntary and that Find Love Safely is not liable for the actions of any member.
Participation in in-person events and activities is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
12. Assumption of Risk
By participating in Find Love Safely services, members and caregivers acknowledge that social interactions, including dating and relationship-building, involve inherent risks.
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with interacting with other members, whether in person, virtually, or through any form of communication. Find Love Safely is not responsible for the conduct, actions, or behavior of any member before, during, or after participation in services.
13. No Professional Advice
Find Love Safely provides educational, coaching, and matchmaking services only. These services do not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.
Participation in Find Love Safely should not replace professional services where appropriate.
14. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Find Love Safely, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your participation in Find Love Safely services
- Your interactions with other members, whether online or in person
- Any violation of these Terms & Conditions
- Any conduct that results in harm, discomfort, or dispute involving another member
This indemnification obligation applies regardless of whether such interactions occur during or outside of formally facilitated Find Love Safely activities.
15. Modifications to Services
Find Love Safely reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of its services, including membership offerings, pricing, workshops, and events, at any time.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions and any disputes arising out of or related to participation in Find Love Safely shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
17. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions or participation in Find Love Safely services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally.
If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in the State of Minnesota, conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Each party shall be responsible for its own legal fees and costs unless otherwise required by law.
All disputes must be brought in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
18. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued participation in Find Love Safely after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
